Task list and due dates (all checklists in one list)

Describes monthlet 1.2.0.

You can see the checklists and checkboxes from your whole vault in one list. Open it with "Tasks" in the "Calendar | Tasks" switch at the top of the calendar panel.

  • Groups: "Overdue", "Today", "Next 7 days", "Later" and "No due date". Turn on "Show done" to also see finished ones. Turn on "Only the open note" to narrow the list to the note you have open.
  • From the list: click the box to mark a task as done (click again to undo). Click the text to jump to that item in its note.
  • Setting a due date: hover a checklist row (or a checkbox) in a note and a 📅 button appears at the right end of the row. Click it and pick a date; the row gets a small due-date tag such as "10/10". Tags of unfinished tasks past their date turn red. To remove the date, open 📅 and click "Clear due date".
  • In the calendar: unfinished tasks with a due date show up on that day as a count such as "☐ 1". Click it to see the tasks due that day in the day view.
  • What is collected: every checklist item and every checkbox, including those inside toggles, tabs and columns. Kanban cards and tasks in archived notes are not included.
  • How it is saved: the due date is stored in the note itself. If you open an exported HTML file in another browser, the date reads like "2026-10-10". Markdown export adds "📅 2026-10-10" to the end of the item (the same format as Obsidian Tasks), and importing turns it back into a due date.

monthlet is free on macOS and Windows.
